Janjang 1000 in Guguk Panjang Sub-District, Indonesia

A memorable vacation always involves a unique tourist spot, for sure. For those who are visiting Bukittinggi City, in this case, can choose Janjang 1000 as their next vacation destination. It is as popular as Janjang 40 but offers more interesting panorama and challenges. The location is in Bukit Apit Puhun Village and it belongs to Guguk Panjang Sub-District. Even though many people consider this place and Koto Gadang Great Wall is the same, these tourist objects are located in a different area! As the name suggests, the site features lots of stairs where tourists can explore (even though the number is not exactly a thousand).

The Nuance
Janjang 1000 is part of Sianok Canyon Tourist Area, actually. The location is in the cliff of such famous site and under Apit Hill. It is true that, in terms of appearance, the site looks similar to Great Wall of Koto Gadang. However, once again, they are different. The most interesting allure of this site is the unspoiled environment with tons of plants and trees! Thus, tourists can explore the stairs while witnessing such lush panorama. Even the air feels quite refreshing! In terms of the crowd, the site gets lots of visitors during weekends. That means the nuance becomes merrier at those times.

Exploring Janjang 1000
Janjang 1000 offers a more challenging experience to tourists, as compared to Janjang 40. It is because the site features more stairs for tourists to explore. That means it requires more time and effort to conquer it, which makes it a tiring activity. Despite the fact, no one would regret to visit and explore the site as they can watch stunning panorama while passing through Janjang Seribu. It also provides an opportunity to collect good pictures using a camera or smartphone.

The only disappointment is that Janjang 1000 is lacking an attention from the local government. The management is poor, so tourists would find scattered leaves and some trash on the site. Knowing this fact, visitors should not make it worse! It is alright to carry snacks and eat some during the visit. However, littering is definitely prohibited.

Thanks to the pristine panorama though. Such neglected condition of Janjang 1000 never bothers visitors. Tourists only need to pay attention more to their steps when exploring the site, due to the presence of wild bushes. As for the tip, it is the best to come to the location either in the morning or afternoon (when the air is fresher and the weather is nicer).
